Anita L. (Marton) Bagce

Anita L. (nee Marton) Bagce, 60, of Paterson passed away on November 30, 2022.

Born in Passaic and raised in Clifton, Anita would eventually settle in Paterson after getting married and starting a family. Anita was a first-generation college graduate, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Montclair State College, all while working full time and pregnant. Anita subsequently worked in the Human Resources industry, ultimately serving as a customer service specialist for Verizon Communications in Oradell.

Anita loved spending time with her family, particularly her two cherished grandsons. She also loved caring for her pets. In her spare time, Anita enjoyed crocheting and would often make hats, scarves and blankets for her loved ones. She also loved making her signature dishes for family events – her Thanksgiving mashed potatoes and summer barbeque potato salad dishes will be dearly missed. Most of all, she will be fondly remembered for her sacrifice and dedication to providing her children opportunities and a better life than she had.

Anita was predeceased by her parents, Franz and Elisabeth (nee Steinbinder) Marton.

She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Mahmut Bagce; her children, Shery Bagce and Hamid Bagce and his wife, Yanett; her siblings, Maryann and Frank Marton; and her beloved grandsons, Aydin and Aaron Bagce.

Visitation will be from 10:30 am-12:30 pm Monday, December 5, 2022 at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 515 Lexington Ave., Clifton with a 12:30 pm funeral service. Interment to follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
